GO SKATE DAY at Dine Skate Garden Promotes Fitness and Mental, Emotional Well-Being for Native Youth
SBi Giving Foundation was thrilled to be the Livestream Donor for GO SKATE DAY on June 21st at the Dine Skate Garden in Two Grey Hills, an event that brought together hundreds of young skaters for a day of fun, learning, and community.
The skate park buzzed with excitement as young skaters from communities all around gathered to learn new skills and safety techniques from local skate pros. The enthusiasm was contagious, with children of all ages eager to hit the ramps and showcase their talents.
One of the day’s highlights was the special appearance of Navajo Nation Vice President Richelle Montoya, who joined the kids in enjoying the skatepark and even received a skating lesson from the pros.
As the sun shone down on Two Grey Hills, the joyful and determined faces of the young skaters reflected the event’s success. The day’s activities went beyond skateboarding, fostering a sense of community, resilience, and self-confidence for participants. It was a genuine testament to the power of skateboarding in promoting fitness, mental, and emotional health among youth, and SBi Giving Foundation is proud to have played a role in its success.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the local skate pros who dedicated their time and expertise to teach the kids, to Vice President Montoya for her participation, and to all the skaters who came out to make the day unforgettable.
